TAURUS Femtosecond Laser

The Taurus is the ideal tool for micromachining and marking on a microscopic scale.

The TAURUS is a femtosecond laser with a laser pulse duration of 750 fs up to 10 ps. With > 10 µJ, the laser provides sufficient pulse energy for amazingly precise material processing without heat input. The ytterbium-based mode-locked fiber laser covers a wide pulse repetition rate range and, in addition to single pulses, also allows rapid material processing at up to 3 MHz.

With the new TAURUS femtosecond laser, PHOTON ENERGY is expanding its product portfolio in the field of ultrashort pulse lasers. The mode-locked fiber laser delivers laser pulses with pulse durations from 10 ps down to 750 fs; the customer can conveniently set the optimum value for his application himself via software.
With > 10 µJ, the laser provides sufficient pulse energy for extremely precise material processing which, due to the very short pulse duration, does not generate any heat effects, either inside the material or on its surface.

This ytterbium-based fiber laser covers a wide pulse repetition frequency range and, in addition to single pulses, also allows rapid material processing at up to 3 MHz; of course, the laser is burst-capable and also offers all other operating modes required for the application.

The diode-pumped laser is air-cooled and, thanks to its compact design, is particularly easy to integrate; the supply unit, a 19″ rack, and the laser head are connected to each other in a separable manner for this purpose.
For the laser head, PHOTON ENERGY relies on the housing concept of the CEPHEUS laser, which has proven itself in the past with its high mechanical stability and robustness.
